Los Angeles, California, February 10, 2017 – Strandview Capital is pleased to announce the addition of Mark Dewey as an Associate on the firm’s Investment Team. Mr. Dewey has 10 years of private investment experience building operational and due diligence research teams. In 2015, he joined the Atlanta Technology Angels (ATA) as an Associate and was soon promoted to interim Chief Operating Officer. At ATA, Mr. Dewey proactively identified deals and performed rigorous due diligence for this syndication group ranked in the top 5, nationally, by CB insights.Previously, Mr. Dewey developed the associate analyst program and managed the post investment portfolio for the Tech Coast Angels (TCA), one of the largest Angel syndicate groups in the nation. While at TCA, he took a hands-on approach working directly with management teams on due diligence preparation, investment syndication, as well as go-to-market and growth strategies.
In 2010, his accomplishments with TCA earned him a position with Shepherd Ventures, a highly regarded SBIC venture fund with $80 million under management. Responsibilities at Shepard Ventures included portfolio analysis, communications, regulatory compliance, and operations.
Mr. Dewey earned his MBA from Emory University in 2016 with Beta Gamma Sigma distinction, Dean’s List recognition, and several peer and faculty awards in entrepreneurship, and leadership. He earned his BA degree in Political Science from San Diego State University in 2006.
